Support Groups

Baptist offers a number support groups related to a range of medical conditions. Most groups require advance registration.

HOPE (Helping Others Providing Empathy)
The "HOPE" support group, for patients with any kind of cancer diagnosis, meets the second Thursday of every month at 10 a.m. in the Hederman Cancer center. Registration is not required.

"Positive Ones" Breast Cancer Support Group
Provides education and support for women with breast cancer. This group meets periodically at the Hederman Cancer Center, 1227 North State Street.

"Us Too" Prostate Cancer Support Group
Provides individuals with prostate cancer the latest information on detection, treatment and other common issues. This group meets periodically at the Hederman Cancer Center, 1227 North State Street.

"Walking Forward" GYN Cancer Support Group
This group provides support and education for women and family members coping with any kind of gynecological cancer. Whether you are newly diagnosed, in treatment or have completed treatment, join us to share ideas and gain encouragement. This group meets periodically at the Hederman Cancer Center, 1227 North State Street.

Chronic Illnesses

Diabetes Support/Learning Group
A support/learning group for diabetics and their families, this is facilitated by professionals from Baptist's Diabetes Learning Center. The group meets the first Thursday of the month at 10 a.m. in the Diabetes Learning Center, Medical Arts West. Call 1-800-948-6262 or 948-6262 for dates and times.
