Why Work at Baptist

"Our Foundation and Tradition is the Christian Healing Ministry"

Baptist Health Systems is a licensed 663-bed medical center located in metropolitan Jackson, Miss. We take pride in being more than just a medical center. Founded in 1911, Baptist has grown from an eight-room wooden-framed home to the largest private medical center in the state. Throughout our 100 years, Baptist leaders and employees have demonstrated commitment to providing the most up-to-date medical services and equipment and uncompromising excellence in patient care.

With more than 3,100 employees including more than 850 RNs and 500 physicians representing 47 specialties and sub-specialties, Baptist continues to be the premier healthcare provider.

Baptist is an organization where nurses know that their knowledge and clinical expertise are supported and valued. Nurses serve on numerous nursing councils and organizational committees where their voices are heard. Baptist sets a standard in the community for the pursuit of the highest quality, safe patient care. Changes in nursing practice is guided by research for better outcomes which results in higher patient and employee satisfaction and a shorter patient stay. Educational opportunities are available to all employees and nursing leaders work with staff on flexible schedules to help them achieve their educational goals.

Throughout the decades, Baptist has provided quality, compassionate Christian-based patient care for the people of Mississippi. We are honored that you may choose Baptist as your employer.
