Healthplex Receives Accolades from Best of Jackson 2012

The Jackson Free Press held its annual Best of Jackson event this past weekend. Citizens of the metro area were able to cast their votes for the best in business, community, food, music and more.

Congratulations to the Baptist Healthplex. It received a “good showing” for the third year.

Also, Martha Howell with the Baptist Healthplex was deemed Best Massage Therapist. Howell has been voted Best Massage Therapist for two years in a row. Last May, she spent a month in Beijing, China, studying massage techniques. She performs acupressure and deep tissue massages. Each session is specific to each individual, and her work incorporates the connection between mind and body. A visit with her will have you feeling relaxed and stress free.

This screening, held by appointment,is available for adults ages 18 and older. You are required to fast for 12hours before your scheduled screening.

Valued at $450, the Heart Basic package includes:• Heart risk assessment• Blood pressure• Height and weight with BMI calculation• EKG• Total cholesterol, glucose, and other metabolic blood work
