Jack D. Owens, MD

Neonatologist Jack D. Owens, MD, MPH, earned his undergraduate degree at Point Loma Nazarene College in San Diego, followed by his Master of Public Health from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, then his medical degree from Emory University School Medicine. He then completed both his residency and fellowship in pediatrics and neonatal-perinatal medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Owens is board certified in pediatrics and neonatal-perinatal medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Medical Society and the Mississippi Society of Newborn Medicine, for which he has also served as president. He is the author of “Mississippi’s Tiniest Babies Do Well,” published in the Journal of the Mississippi State Medical Association.
