H. Chris Waterer, III, MD
Dr. Waterer is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Mississippi State University and earned his M.D. degree from the University of Mississippi in Jackson. He also completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine and his cardiology fellowship at the University of Mississippi. He remained on faculty at UMC as an assistant professor of medicine before joining Cardiovascular Associates in 1996. Dr. Waterer is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a fellow in the American College of Physicians and the American College of Cardiology. He currently serves on the Board of the Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi and as a clinical assistant professor of medicine at the University of Mississippi. A Tchula, Mississippi native, Dr. Waterer is an active member of Christ United Methodist Church and resides in Jackson with his wife, Dr. Rebecca Waterer, and their two children, Joy Kate and Hank. :: Listen to "Heart Health: Preventing Heart Disease," a podcast featuring Dr. Waterer. |
