William J. Harris, MD

 

Dr. Harris, Chief of Cardiovascular Surgery at Baptist Medical Center, is a graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. He completed an internship and residency in general surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He then completed a fellowship and residency in cardiothoracic surgery at UAB. Dr. Harris is a Diplomat of the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of The Society of Thoracic Surgeons, the Southern Thoracic Surgical Association, and the International Society for Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery.
