Van L. Lackey, MD, FACP

Dr. Lackey earned his medical degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where he also completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Hematology/Oncology. He is certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Lackey is a fellow of the American College of Physicians, for which he was the Governor for the Mississippi chapter, and has memberships in the American Medical Association, the Mississippi State Medical Association, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the American Society of Hematology. He is President of the Mississippi Society of Oncology, Past President of the Mississippi Division of the American Cancer Society, Past President of the Guardian Society and Past President of the Medical Alumni at the University of Mississippi and has served on the Board of the American Red Cross.

At Baptist, Dr. Lackey is Medical Director of Baptist Cancer Services and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center.
