The Alpha meditation book was dedicated to Mary Ross, also known as "Miss Mary," a former therapist, aftercare facilitator and retired director of Baptist Chemical Dependency Center. "Alpha is very pleased with the results of this project," said June Dumas. "It gives us insight into the recovery journey of many of our clients." To order a book, call 601-968-1102. The Alpha Association is made up of former patients of the Baptist Chemical Dependency Center. The association provides valuable services such as conducting the After Care Program, providing people to conduct in-house AA meetings, driving patients to outside AA meetings, operating a canteen for patients, organizing social events, as well as working closely with the CDC staff to help find ways to improve the treatment process. :: back to top |
