Baptist Cardiovascular Services has begun operation of a program focused on the care of patients with atrial fibrillation. Baptist is the first in the state of Mississippi to bring together a formal program for the treatment of patients with this condition.

Even though Baptist’s foundation is made up of many health care professionals, nurses are a vital pillar in patient care. Of the approximately 3,000 employees of Baptist, 826 are registered nurses. Sixty-five of these nurses have worked at Baptist for 25 or more years.

:: Baptist Changes Traffic Routes for Patient Drop Off and Visitor Parking
One side of the boulevard at the main hospital entrance at North State and Manship streets will be closed, and this entrance will become two-way traffic only. This entrance will be limited to patient drop-off and pick-up only. Guests and visitors not dropping off a patient should enter the campus from North State Street at the entrance located just south of the Medical Arts West building.

How dense are you? . . . Your bones, that is.
One out of every two women over age 50 will experience some kind of bone fracture caused by loss of bone density, a disease called osteoporosis. The trouble is, osteoporosis produces no symptoms. Often the first indication is a fracture caused by something as simple as pulling on your hose. Find out if you are at risk. Come to the Baptist Medical Clinic in Clinton or Madison on any Friday in May for your bone density screenings to determine if you need further follow up with your physician.
