Para Tratar las Complicaciones

Los procedimientos quirúrgicos que pueden ser necesarios para tratar las complicaciones de la enfermedad drepanocítica incluyen:

  • Esplenectomía : para extirpar un bazo destruido por la enfermedad drepanocítica o para intentar prevenir la repetición de una crisis drepanocítica (la evidencia de que esto puede ayudar todavía está incompleta)
  • Reemplazo de cadera : para tratar una cadera destruida por necrosis avascular
  • Cirugía de la vesícula biliar: para extirpar una vesícula biliar que no esté funcionando adecuadamente
  • Cirugía láser ocular: para las complicaciones que afectan su visión
