Endometriosis

Existen numerosas opciones para tratar y controlar la endometriosis. Éstas incluyen cambios en el estilo de vida, medicamentos, y cirugía. Existe un riesgo de persistencia, a pesar de tratamiento; también hay un riesgo de reaparición después del tratamiento.

Los objetivos del tratamiento son controlar el dolor, desacelerar el crecimiento de tejido endometrial, y restablecer la fertilidad, si se desea. La elección del tratamiento preferido depende de su edad, la severidad de sus síntomas, el lugar en el que está creciendo el tejido endometrial, el tamaño de los crecimientos, y su deseo de quedar embarazada.
