No hay cura para la enfermedad celíaca. El único tratamiento efectivo es controlar los síntomas y prevenir complicaciones al consumir una dieta libre de gluten. Se usan medicamentos para ayudar a controlar la inflamación intestinal en casos severos. Si usted desarrolla deficiencias nutricionales o pierde masa ósea, se podría necesitar otro tratamiento.
