El propósito de la revisión es el diagnóstico y tratamiento tempranos. Los exámenes de revisión por lo general se administran a personas sin síntomas presentes, pero que podrían estar en alto riesgo de ciertas enfermedades o condiciones.

Exámenes de Revisión

El examen rectal digital es el único examen de revisión para BPH. Esto implica que su médico inserte un dedo enguantado dentro de la parte inferior del recto. Desde allí, su médico puede estimar el tamaño de su próstata, identificar algunos cánceres (pero no todos), y encontrar enfermedades anales.

No hay indicaciones para la revisión de BPH.
