Jackson, Miss. – December 11, 2012 - Baptist Health Systems and Landmark Healthcare Facilities are starting construction of the skybridge connecting the new medical office building over North State Street to Baptist Medical Center.
Phase One of this process will begin Friday, December 14 at 11:00 p.m. and go until Sunday, December 16 at 7:00 pm. North State Street will be shut down between Manship Street and Poplar Street.
There will be detour route signage to direct traffic through a portion of the Belhaven neighborhood. It's anticipated the bridge truss will be hoisted into place on Saturday, December 15 between 9:00 a.m. and noon.
This portion of North State Street will also be closed on the following dates with detour routes directing traffic through a portion of the Belhaven neighborhood:
December 21 at 7:00 p.m. through December 22 at 8:00 p.m.
January 6, Monday – Friday from 7:00 p.m. through 6:00 a.m. (night work): one northbound and one southbound lane will remain open. All lanes will remain open from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
