Caring for People
When you or someone you love requires hospitalization, expert medical care is essential. But more is needed -- genuine compassion from health care professionals who understand your concerns. At Baptist Medical Center, we offer a wide range of technologically advanced inpatient and outpatient diagnostic and surgical procedures. And every day -- in ways that most patients and their families may never see or know about -- Baptist professionals demonstrate their unwavering commitment to provide exceptional patient care.

Whether you're having a baby or facing bypass surgery, your hospital admission can be handled in advance. Schedule a preadmission visit and get answers to any questions you have about your upcoming stay, fill out forms necessary for admission and even complete certain physician-requested lab tests prior to admission.

For a preadmission appointment, call 1-800-749-7940 or in Jackson, 601-968-1393.

Process for Reporting Safety and Quality of Care Concern
If you have concerns with the quality of care that is provided to you or your family, you should:

  • Discuss with the supervisor on duty (on the nursing unit or department).
  • If you do not feel comfortable discussing with the supervisor, then you may contact the House Supervisor
(601-968-1258) or the Risk Manager (601-968-1103). They may also be paged by calling 601-968-1000.
  • After reporting your concerns, if you feel that the problems have not been addressed, you may contact the
Department Director, Vice President, or Mr. Slyter, President, MBMC (601-968-5130).
  • After speaking with hospital leaders and you still feel that the safety/quality issues have continued, you may contact
the Office of Quality Monitoring at The Joint Commission (TJC) at 1-800-994-6610.
