Samaritan Counseling Services Is Re-accredited with the Samaritan Institute

Jackson, Miss. – June 20, 2008 - Samaritan Counseling Services, a division of Baptist Medical Center, successfully completed re-accreditation as a Service Center with the Samaritan Institute. The recipient of the Samaritan Award for 2008 is The Reverend Dr. James W. Street. The Samaritan Award is given to a person who has significantly advanced the ministry and mission of Pastoral Care and Counseling. Dr. Street has served on the Samaritan Advisory Board from its inception in 1994 to the present. He served as the Chair of the Advisory Board from 2006 to 2008.
