Jackson, Miss. – April 17, 2008 - Recognizing the need to increase awareness about the life saving benefits of organ, tissue and eye donation, Mississippi Baptist Health Systems, in cooperation with the Mississippi Organ Recovery Agency (MORA), will host National Donor Awareness Day.

The public as well as physicians and hospital personnel are invited to visit the booth outside the Gift Shop on Tuesday, April 29th, 2008 ( 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.).

You have the power to give someone the most precious gift in the world-LIFE. Organ and tissue transplants offer a person in a hopeless situation a new chance for a healthy, productive, and active life.

Ensure that your family understands your decision to be an organ, tissue, and eye donor by sharing your decision to donate.

For more information about becoming an organ, tissue, and eye donor, call Mississippi Organ Recovery at 1-800-690-8878.
