Hope for Atrial Fibrillation
Managing atrial fibrillation, an irregular heartbeat that increases the risk for stroke, is extremely important. The most common treatment is medication that thins the blood to prevent clots from forming and traveling to the brain. But now there is a new, minimally invasive surgical procedure that, instead of treating the symptoms, actually corrects the irregular rhythym itself. Most patients are able to discontinue blood-thinning medications.

Free Caregivers Support Group Held at Baptist Adult Day in Clinton
Baptist Adult Day Health Services and the Alzheimer’s Association will host an Alzheimer’s Support Group Meeting the third Tuesday of each month from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. The meetings are free and will be held in the conference room next to Baptist Adult Day Health Services-Clinton at 503 E. Baptist Offers Free Cancer Rehab Classes
Baptist's Cancer Rehab Program is offered Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2:00 p.m. every week at no cost in the Activity Room of the Hederman Cancer Center, 1227 North State Street, Jackson, Miss. To register, call the Baptist Health Line at 1-800-948-6262 or 601-948-6262. The class helps cancer patients enhance cardiovascular strength and endurance and immune system and bone density. It helps to increase overall strength and stamina, decrease fatigue, weight loss and improve digestion.
