Baptist Hosts Classes for Multiple Births
Baptist for Women hosts the Marvelous Multiples childbirth class for couples who are expecting more than one baby.
Date: Four-week class starts Thursday, January 3
Time: 6:30 p.m.
Cost: $5 per couple

Expectant Grandparents Free Class Hosted by Baptist
Expectant grandparents can prepare for their new roles with Baptist Medical Center's Grandparenting Class. The session covers changes in labor and delivery and the focus on family-centered maternity care. The agenda also includes a refresher on baby feeding and safety and a discussion of basic diplomacy for the newly extended family.

Be a Super Hero: Fight Against Childhood Obesity
If you are concerned that your child may be headed toward an unhealthy weight, take action. Bring your child and join Baptist for this fun, family-friendly morning of learning how to eat right, get moving, and get healthy. Speakers include Chef Luis Bruno, who will share his own experience of conquering obesity; Pediatrician Julia Sherwood, M.D., who has a special interest in childhood obesity; Kristina Burrow and Janna McIntosh, R.D., registered dietitians at the Baptist Nutrition Center; and Baptist Education Resource Center Nurse Melanie Fortenberry. In addition, exercise physiologists at the Healthplex will work with the children on exercising.

Car Seat Safety Checks for Infants
Because vehicles and infant car seat styles vary, learning how to position your infant car seat securely isn’t easy. Fortunately, expert help is available. Join Mississippi SafeKids and Baptist for Women for a car seat safety check. Professionals can teach you how to install your car seat properly and also check your already-installed car seat to see if it is positioned correctly.

Cardiac Calcium Scoring: Can It Predict Heart Disease?

Baptist Hosts Free Creative Arts Program for Cancer Patients

Free Cancer Support Group - HOPE (Helping Others Providing Empathy)
Baptist Cancer Services has created a new cancer support group for all types of cancer patients called “HOPE,” which means Helping Others, Providing Empathy.

Baptist Offers Free Cancer Rehab Classes
Baptist's Cancer Rehab Program is offered Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2:00 p.m. every week at no cost in the Activity Room of the Hederman Cancer Center, 1227 North State Street, Jackson, Miss. To register, call the Baptist Health Line at 1-800-948-6262 or 601-948-6262. The class helps cancer patients enhance cardiovascular strength and endurance and immune system and bone density. It helps to increase overall strength and stamina, decrease fatigue, weight loss and improve digestion.

“Hearts in Motion” @ Northpark Mall

Diabetes Support Group
