Melanoma Monday Program Raises Awareness about the Disease

Jackson, Miss. – April 19, 2006 – Monday, May 1, 2006 is designated Melanoma Monday. To help raise awareness of this disease, Baptist Cancer Services is offering an educational program at noon in the 5th floor conference room of the Colonnades Medical Office building, 501 Marshall Street, Jackson, Miss.

Marshall Ramsey, cartoonist for the Clarion Ledger, will be the guest speaker and tell about his battle with melanoma. Stephanie Jackson, Baptist’s Protect & Detect Cancer Screenings certified nurse practitioner, will make a presentation on melanoma as well.
