Baptist Announces Medical Technologist Graduates 2006

Jackson, Miss. – September 13, 2006 - Angie Bond and Stephanie West recently graduated from the School of Medical Technology at Baptist Medical Center.

Baptist offers a twelve-month clinical program, which is accredited by The National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences. During their year of clinical education, students receive instruction in all phases of laboratory medicine including biochemistry, parasitology, mycology, bacteriology, immunochemistry, immunology/serology, urinalysis, coagulation, hematology, immunohematology, computer applications, client service operations, education and management.

ABOUT BAPTIST HEALTH SYSTEMS SCHOOL OF MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY:
The School of Medical Technology was established in 1946 at Baptist and is a division of the Department of Pathology. Students are selected for admission to the school based on college performance, aptitude for medical technology, interest, motivation, character, health status and Mississippi residency.
