Baptist Cancer Services and Urologists Provide Free Prostate Screening

Jackson, Miss. – August 16, 2006 - Baptist Cancer Services is offering free prostate screenings for men ages 45 –75 and for men over 35 if they fall in a high-risk group or have a family history of cancer. Colorectal screening kits will also be available from Gastrointestinal Associates.

Screenings will be held Tuesday, September 13, 2005, at Hederman Cancer Center, 1227 North State Street, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Another free screening will be held Thursday, September 15, 2005 at the Mississippi Urology Clinic, 1421 North State Street, Suite 403, Jackson, Miss. from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Physicians conducting the screenings include: H. Jason Blalock, MD; Charles L. Secrest, MD; Patrick Daily, MD; Robert P. Myers, MD; and Joe R. Ross, Jr., MD. Pre-registration is required no later than September 9, 2005, by calling the Baptist Health Line at 601-948-6262 or 1-800-948-6262.
