The seminar title is “Help! My Fuse is Lit and I’m About to Blow!”: Handling the Intense Emotions of Being a Caregiver. "We wanted to host a caregiver conference this fall dealing with the intense emotional issues centered around being a caregiver to a sick loved one,” said Baptist Adult Day Health Services Director Dixie Myrick, Northtown location. “We feel these selected speakers will provide insight and valuable information that will be intensely effective in dealing with the 24/7 responsibilities involved." Topics for discussion will include: ways to manage anxiety, journeying through the ups and downs of caring for a loved one, and getting a grip on emotions a caregiver goes through. Social Work Continuing Education Units (.33) are approved through the National Association of Social Workers for attendance. Registration is requested for this free seminar by calling the Baptist Health Line at 1-800-948-6262 or 601-948-6262. |
